When it comes to dams and levees, Jon is one of the engineers behind many of our largest and most complex projects. With over 25 years working from our Lexington, Kentucky, office, he’s one of the go-to guys for dam and levee safety—as well as hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
Some of his most notable work involves developing FEMA dam safety guidance related to the High Hazard Potential Dam Rehabilitation Program to be used across the nation. He’s also served as a dam safety specialist (with an engineer of record certification) for high-hazard dams in the state of Georgia, and he’s led teams performing dam safety evaluations in 13 states as well as Puerto Rico—and even Australia.
Jon is always looking for a new challenge to solve, and he’s quite good at resolving them. He received the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Kentucky Section’s Robert M. Gillim Professional Recognition Award in 2015 (the Section’s highest honor they can bestow). In his spare time he enjoys relaxing with his family, LEGO collecting and building, reading, and volunteering in the community.
