With a focus on public involvement and place-making, Lori is a senior landscape architect passionate about creating places that speak to a community's needs, values, and sustainable goals. She’s worked on projects throughout Alberta and British Columbia for more than 11 years.
Lori’s commitment to getting people out in nature is demonstrated by her work on the master planning, design, and construction of trails, parks, campgrounds, and tourist destinations. Her unique perspective as a professional fine artist inspires her to look beyond function to integrate public art, place-making, and ecology into her projects. This innovation is demonstrated in streetscapes, mass transit, civil open spaces, sustainable stormwater management, and institutional developments across Western Canada.
Lori is also a university-trained printmaker and practicing visual artist. She has exhibited her work internationally and once attended a month-long artist residency in Iceland. When she feels out of inspiration, she hits the trails with her family to soak in the beauty of Alberta’s unique landscapes.
