Richard has more than 21 years of experience in water resources. His projects have involved the planning and design of dams, flood protection facilities, sanitary sewers, combined sewer overflow (CSO) systems, and transportation drainage.
During the recent final design of a $21 million flood management facility along the Menomonee River at Hart Park in Wauwatosa, Rich served as project manager and design team leader. The facility included over two linear miles of storm sewer, two levee systems, and 18 acres of floodplain lowering. He also led the award-winning Southbranch Creek Flood Management Project, which involved four flood water detention basins ranging from 12 to 22 acre-feet in capacity, three bridge replacements, and 800 feet of urban stream channel restoration.
Richard has extensive experience with river and sewer system computer modeling for use in facility planning, analysis, and design, and in floodplain mapping.
