Jim is an experienced landscape architect and the team lead for our Calgary landscape architecture business center. His goal? To find a balance in design that provides people with meaningful experiences in their outdoor environments while respecting and promoting natural landscapes and processes.
Having worked in all aspects of landscape architecture, Jim’s expertise includes concept design, detailed design, and project management. He has experience in preparation and application of land use and outline plans, development permits and landscape construction applications, site inventory and analysis, and historical landscapes. Jim has also worked extensively with low impact development, urban design, environmental restoration plans, green roofs, sensory gardens, downtown revitalization, streetscapes, and LEED related projects.
On the weekends, Jim loves to explore western Canada—you’ll find him outdoors in the mountains, on trails and in the river valleys. His greatest passions are his family, cooking, trail running, and snowshoeing.
