Didier Lapointe
Vice President, Discipline Leader, Environmental Services - Emergency Planning & Response
Didier is a professional engineer with over 20 years of environmental consulting experience. As a senior principal in our environmental services group, he leads our emergency planning and response services for North America. During his career, Didier has focused on soil and groundwater environmental assessment, remediation, and reclamation projects—and he’s no stranger to emergency response on spills, derailments, and pipeline releases.
He leads the group of Stantec specialists who work with energy and oil and gas clients to develop and implement proactive pre-emergency planning and preparedness programs. The goal? Reducing the potential environmental harm created by a release, and to maximize the effectiveness and safety of any field intervention afterward.
Outside of work, Didier enjoys coaching his young boys on the ice or the pitch, reading, or cooking and sharing a nice meal with his wife and some good friends.
