As a leader in our irrigation and agribusiness sector, Shane works on business development, client service management, and design. Using a holistic approach to greenfield irrigated agribusiness developments, Shane considers the total farm design. His goal? To balance expenditures against operating costs, create efficiencies, and achieve technical excellence.
During the Kerarbury Almond development project, Shane worked with Olam—a global leader in the supply chain management of agricultural products and food ingredients. As Australia’s largest almond grower, they were creating a new 2,500-hectare property in southern New South Wales. Shane and his team’s job was to collaborate with stakeholders towards a state-of-the-art design. They worked to improve drainage and water use efficiency. Plus, immediate and ongoing preservation of surrounding ecosystems.
When Shane needs to wind down or keep fit, his exercise of choice is swimming. He competes in the occasional open-water community swim event, but he rates his prowess at weekend-hack levels (in golf terms).
