It’s not every day your personal and professional lives intersect in such a meaningful way but for Adam, he gets to.
A member of the Dena’ina Athabascan village of Eklutna (the land that is currently known as Anchorage), Adam is Stantec’s Alaska Native Program Manager where he focuses on developing business relationships with Alaska Native Corporations, tribes, nonprofits, and organizations. He also provides project support as a cultural integration specialist, grant writing support, and human resources support to make Stantec a diverse and inclusive place to work. Co-leading Stantec’s Indigenous Connections employee resource group, Adam has helped develop a safe space for others to share about their own communities and promote a culture of allyship with non-Native employees.
In addition to his work at Stantec, Adam serves on several Tribal initiatives, working on health, housing, education, and restoration of the Eklutna River. He also serves on several other boards, including the AISES Corporate Advisory Council, member of Department of Energy Office of Indian Energy Indian Country Energy and Infrastructure Working Group, Alaska Resource Education, and serves on the scholarship committee for Eklutna, Inc.
