Photo of Rebecca

With lived experience as an evacuee during Hurricane Katrina, Rebecca understands the importance of incorporating human resilience and adaptability into design. A certified planner and project manager in our climate risk and adaptation team, her knowledge is coupled with a passion for creating resilient communities.

Rebecca has held positions in local, state, and federal government in hazard mitigation, community development, and disaster recovery roles. Her broad planning experience within the public sector informs her working relationships with her clients, helping communities and agencies like the Federal Emergency Management Agency overcome barriers and advance resilience. Rebecca’s strengths include translating technical material into palatable formats for decision support, risk assessments, leading stakeholder engagement efforts, and drafting actionable implementation policy to make programs and processes more efficient, equitable, and useful.

Rebecca enjoys carting her kids around to hobbies, and rediscovering that she too has hobbies like fais-do-dos, eating spicy food, and learning the mandolin.
