With more than 40 years of engineering project management experience, Roger has managed just about every type and size of thermal and electric generation project. Before joining Stantec, he founded a power engineering group at a large engineering and architecture firm in Boston. There, he managed 35 electrical and mechanical engineers between Boston and San Francisco.
Roger’s interest in engineering and teamwork started early in life. At a young age, he helped his father build a summer house in Rhode Island—a house that became Roger’s favorite place to escape and a project that taught him the importance of teamwork and planning. Since then, Roger has started up and tested naval nuclear reactors and engineered state-of-the-art systems to produce pipeline quality natural gas from landfill gas.
His aim? To develop and execute well-thought-out plans that integrate the public need, available technology, resource skill sets, and environmental concerns with regulatory, financial, and schedule requirements. Though the deregulated energy market is a difficult field to navigate, Roger is excited to position his team as key players in the field.
