Michael is an accomplished principal with a demonstrated history of architecture and planning for learning environments. With a balanced design methodology, Michael has 24 years of experience in architecture with 20 years focused on K12 and higher education learning environments. His projects have won many awards from American Institute of Architects North Carolina (AIA NC), American Schools & Universities, Historical Preservation, and Association for Learning Environments (A4LE).
Skilled in design and construction codes, processes, and contracts, Michael has been fortunate to serve over 15 Independent School Districts in the Texas Gulf Coast region. Some of his projects include a 10,000-seat stadium, two high schools over 500,000 square feet, a natatorium, performing arts center, and various other educational facilities. He is also a US Naval Reserve veteran who served as an engineering aid for US Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 14.
Michael loves going to car shows to meet new people and hear about their challenges and successes in building cars. He also likes to play ice hockey and collect old vinyl records.
