Chris Mackey

Chris’s diverse first-hand experience provides understanding of all aspects of architecture. From programming and feasibility studies to design, technical development, and construction administration he has the knowledge to offer insightful input on any project.

Western Michigan University’s Sangren Hall was a building that had not kept up with the demands of the times. Chris’s team led the client to a replacement building that creates a sense of community, and a strong, iconic presence defining the campus central mall.

At Michigan State University, Chris and the team renovated the Brody Neighborhood residence halls and turned some of the least desirable housing on campus into contemporary living halls, markedly improving student retention in those buildings.

Outside the office, Chris enjoys time with his wife and two college-aged children. He also plays guitar, sings, and writes some of his own music. Art, books, movies, and fishing compete for the rest of his down time.
