Milad believes understanding how buildings perform is only the beginning—the real challenge is finding innovative ways to make them perform better. With this goal in mind, he combines research and engineering expertise to improve their energy efficiency and sustainability.
Specializing in whole-building energy modeling, building science, and energy codes, Milad supports commercial, institutional, and multi-unit residential projects. By combining numerical modeling and on-site assessments, he helps teams make informed decisions about high-performance design, energy retrofits, electrification, and thermal resilience. His expertise also extends to quantitative infrared thermography, an area he explored during his doctoral research on using advanced drone-based quantitative infrared thermography for assessing building envelope performance. His findings have been published in leading journals and presented internationally.
When he isn’t working on sustainable buildings, Milad enjoys traveling somewhere warm and exploring new places with his wife. He also likes watching sports, taking long walks, and planning activities with friends and family.
