Johnny is a mineral exploration and resource geologist with experience in a variety of deposit and mineralization styles. He started his mining career as a mine geologist and has worked as a geotechnical engineer for the open pit mines along the Carlin Trend in northeast Nevada. He brings this multidisciplinary background to face challenging projects and meet the fast-paced mining industry head on.
Developing complex geologic models in Leapfrog Geo (3D modeling software) is Johnny’s primary expertise. He understands the inputs and outputs needed to develop a successful project. At the end of the day, he believes it all comes back to geology. His dynamic style allows him to perform critical field work in tough conditions while also delivering industry-critical modeling solutions.
If Johnny isn’t working on a mining project, you’ll find him mountain biking around Central Oregon, rock hounding, and even building a model railroad.
