Working with our team in Calgary, Jon is a transportation engineer who specializes in geometric design and 3D modelling. He has leveraged his 3D modeling expertise using CAD-based software, including Civil3D, 3DsMax Design, and Infraworks for major projects such as the award-winning projects, TransCanada Highway and Bowfort Road Interchange and MAX Purple BRT.
Jon champions the use of 3D modelling, active communication, and scheduling sufficient time for reviews. This approach allows the team to catch issues early on, making costing more accurate, and providing insightful data for decision making.
Jon’s interest in tactile construction activities extends beyond his job. His hobbies include building LEGO®, 3D printing, and model kits. He also volunteers as a referee for FIRST Robotics (a worldwide robotics program for youth).
