Karen has received numerous engineering awards from the Consulting Engineers of Manitoba, and it’s not surprising considering how hard-working and dedicated she is to clients and colleagues. A big believer in safety, quality, collaboration, and teamwork, she has a willingness to jump in and take charge—or at least help out!
As a senior project manager (PMP) and environmental geoscientist (P.Geo.) with two and a half decades of environmental consulting experience, Karen is skilled in managing investigations that require multidisciplinary coordination. She’s the managing leader for our Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Thunder Bay groups, works within our Environmental Site Investigation, Remediation, and Response practice, and manages environmental baseline and environmental assessment projects within the Mining sector.
Karen is skilled in all stages of environmental project management, from design and cost estimation analysis through to budget tracking, data collection, and client relations. But when she saved a client $1.5 million, getting an ice cream cone was enough of a reward to put a smile on her face.
