As a principal consultant, Andrew enjoys the tremendous variety of projects he encounters. His role is diverse—leading and supporting a range of teams spanning transportation, water, and community infrastructure. He gets involved at any stage of a project's lifecycle, from early studies through to business cases, delivery, and asset management. Alongside this, he manages our New Zealand rail business.
Building close client relationships are key for Andrew—he views our projects from the client’s ‘seat’ to ensure we deliver outcomes to meet their needs, and the needs of their communities. A couple of project highlights include creating a national decarbonisation business case for KiwiRail, and the Marlborough Roads Recovery Programme, supporting the region’s recovery from a severe storm. This was the largest local government recovery programme in New Zealand since the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.
With his range of experiences, Andrew embodies his philosophy that a diverse team, with effective leadership, can solve any problem. Outside of work, Andrew is lucky to live in sunny Nelson, where he spends plenty of time outside with his kids.
