Growing up playing computer games, where you design and build virtual cities and communities, Daniel fulfilled his childhood ambitions by obtaining his civil engineering degree in 2013. Out in the real-world of engineering, he found his niche with geotechnical projects and is now a team lead with our Calgary geotechnical group, working with numerous clients in energy, transportation, and infrastructure.
Daniel believes that taking on new tasks is a valuable way to challenge himself, learn new things, and identify what roles he enjoys to help advance his career progression. He values passing on his knowledge through mentoring, finding it rewarding to put junior employees in positions to succeed, and helping them find joy in their own career paths.
Daniel’s love of learning manifests in his personal life too. He enjoys a wide range of music, movies, and sports—including golf, soccer, hockey, and football—as well as travelling to new places on long road trips.
