With 35 years of experience, Barbara is key in the growth of our Northwest transportation practice. In her position, she supports business developments efforts for local and regional infrastructure. Barbara develops and negotiates teaming agreements for design-build pursuits and develops relationships with teaming partners, as well as performs client management.
Barbara has led project and quality management and helped oversee compliance with ISO 9001 certification requirements. She has experience managing bridges, tunnels, wastewater facilities, and transit facility projects. Barbara is adept at cost and schedule development and control, preparing and implementing quality programs, change order negotiation, and managing subconsultants. Recently, she served as deputy design manager/project director on the CTA Red Purple Modernization project in Chicago and is currently the design director for the Sound Transit Operations and Maintenance Facility East project.
Barbara is an avid reader, piano player, and hardanger (Norwegian needleworking).
