Juan brings nearly 20 years of experience primarily focused on linear infrastructure projects for major sanitary, water and stormwater conveyance systems. He has expertise in leading civil and municipal infrastructure projects. As one of our North American discipline leaders and a civil/conveyance team lead for the Calgary Water group, Juan has dynamic leadership skills and an aptitude for managing large-scale projects in both the design and construction stages.
Juan has gained most of his experience working for the City of Calgary municipal underground infrastructure projects. He has held various roles throughout his career at Stantec since he joined the Company in 2007. He started as a site inspector for the construction of a major stormwater diversion project, then took the design engineer role when he participated and led various designs for recognized City of Calgary projects in operation today. Around 2016, Juan took the civil/conveyance team lead position that he currently holds.
Juan finds passion in participating in projects that will transform the lives of others in positive ways. He enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, good dining, and travelling.
