Bjorn is always moving—whether that’s keeping up with his three young kids, being physically active, speaking at conferences, or leading our corporate development team. He’s been with Stantec for over 20 years, principally in charge of our acquisition program and strategic planning efforts.
He’s excited to be able to focus on looking forward and growth. When you’re in acquisitions, you’re on the front line of corporate development, of finding ways to make our company better. Bjorn likes that he gets to meet new people: that he gets to find and generate the right opportunities to strengthen our organization and make us better. In his time with Stantec, Bjorn has worked on over 100 acquisitions across the full spectrum of size, services, and geography.
Outside of work, Bjorn is a sports nut, and still tries to stay as active as possible. He’s won a Norwegian championship in basketball, a Canadian championship in biathlon, and he’s competed in triathlons, marathons, and more. He’s also the honorary consul for Norway in Northern Alberta.
