Jack began his career in graphic design before moving into a plumbing apprenticeship, becoming a licensed plumber, and later stepping into management and team leadership. Driven by a curiosity for how things work, he went on to study mechanical engineering and worked at a water corporation. He now works in building services design, specializing in hydraulic engineering and coordinating design delivery across complex projects.
Working across sectors including healthcare, mission critical facilities, research, and tertiary education, Jack is particularly drawn to technically challenging projects. One such project was the Antarctic Infrastructure Renewal Program, where understanding unique environmental constraints was key to supporting long-term research operations. He enjoys projects that involve upgrading existing or historically significant buildings, where thoughtful design can extend the life and performance of important structures.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys running and spending time in the garage fixing and tinkering with a variety of old and new building materials.
