As the son of a former Texas school board member, Barry’s first exposure to architecture was through the drawings and presentations brought home by his father, which had been prepared for school projects in his home town. This early inspiration guided Barry toward an architectural career that has been specifically dedicated to the design and construction of education facilities.
Now spanning more than three decades, Barry’s career has included long-range planning and district-wide facilities assessments for numerous Central Texas school districts. He’s overseen all process phases on a wide variety of projects—with well over $2 billion in construction. Barry’s life-long passion for educational design has served him well and is evident in his design work on projects like Cele Middle School and Dearing Elementary School.
