With extensive experience in stream, river, and lake ecosystems across British Columbia, Manitoba, and northern Canada, Sandra is passionate about fish and aquatic ecology. She works alongside restoration engineers, water resources professionals, and vegetation ecologists to identify factors affecting fish populations and develop habitat enhancement and restoration solutions.
A principal aquatic biologist, Sandra leads teams of freshwater and marine ecologists across Canada, bringing people together to solve complex environmental challenges. She believes strong collaboration starts with listening, and she works closely with clients, regulators, communities, and multidisciplinary teams to understand priorities and move projects forward. As an experienced project manager and technical leader, she guides projects from baseline studies through assessment, permitting, and monitoring.
Outside of work, Sandra enjoys hiking, skiing, and camping with her husband and children. She also enjoys spinning, knitting, and weaving.
