Specializing in healthcare engineering, ventilation design, and decarbonization, Tom is an associate mechanical engineer with our Buildings team. A chartered engineer and member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), he has experience delivering mechanical and public health engineering solutions across the healthcare, education, residential, and commercial sectors.
Working on projects ranging from secure mental health facilities and urology wards to operating theatres and medical research spaces, Tom has a strong interest in the relationship between compliance, sustainability, and practical engineering design. He’s particularly passionate about helping healthcare organizations modernize aging estates, improve energy performance, and progress their net zero ambitions.
Tom currently leads Stantec teams supporting East London NHS Foundation Trust on decarbonization and ventilation improvement programs. He is also a member of the NextGen Healthcare Network, where he leads the best practice workstream within the regulations and compliance working group, to explore the complexities of delivering healthcare within the mandatory parameters.
