Kurt has over four decades of experience in healthcare architecture, strategic planning, and Lean project delivery. He excels in providing predesign services for a wide range of facility types and has extensive experience with programming, planning, and project management. His greatest strength lies in distilling complex data into actionable insights, making him a trusted partner among owners and team members.
In addition to his work as a senior architect, Kurt is a Six Sigma Black Belt and instructor for the Lean Construction Institute and Construction Owners Association of America. He has also spoken at over 150 conferences and is the author of “Getting Decisions That Stick!” This is a popular presentation and workshop that explores why decisions often fail to hold and provides actionable strategies to help project teams make informed, durable decisions that keep projects moving forward.
Outside of work, Kurt is active in the global solar cooking community. He enjoys giving solar cooking demonstrations as well as designing, testing, and writing software to better understand and improve the performance of solar cookers.
