In his current role, he focuses on technical quality, completing senior reviews, leading major projects, mentoring staff, and providing expert opinion and witness services. With his attention to detail and ability to explain complex theory in simple terms, he’s regularly sought after to support lawyers and adjusters.
A penchant for problem solving and helping others are the main drivers behind Kyle’s passion for his field. He particularly enjoys assignments where he is asked for opinion on the root cause of a geotechnical failure (like foundations, natural slopes, embankments, and retaining walls). Committed to understanding stakeholders’ needs and providing valuable and comprehensive project solutions, he always enjoys a challenge and finds fulfillment in the art and science of geotechnical engineering. His philosophy is that you can’t just study theory, nor can you just have experience—you need a mix of theory, experience, and honed judgment.
When he needs to recharge, Kyle enjoys going hiking, camping, and staying active with his family, spending as much time as possible in the mountains.
