A licensed civil engineer, Shelby is detail-oriented and focused on client satisfaction. She’s been responsible for various land development projects, and her experience includes site assessment, due diligence, site design, storm sewer design, utility design, erosion and sediment control design, stormwater management, and BMP design and analysis.
In addition to being a professional engineer, Shelby is also a LEED green associate as well as an Envision sustainability professional. She’s worked with many client types including private developers, federal groups, and local municipalities. For example? Her contributions to the City of Alexandria’s multi-year capital program. As the City is working to reinvent their waterfront, Shelby prepared the master stormwater management plan—including an analysis of flood mitigation measures—for this ambitious community and heritage-driven development. She’s also the lead Envision sustainability professional on the project, responsible for the preliminary assessment to provide sustainable infrastructure design and pursue accreditation through the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.
