Richard has more than three decades of project management and design experience. He’s managed roadway, highway, and transit projects including bridges, tunnels, underground transit stations, building structures, and transit centers. These days, he’s responsible for developing a sustainable transportation practice in the Northwest.
Building the practice includes business development, marketing, project management and delivery, and hiring. His priorities? Winning projects, hiring key staff, and building project delivery groups. On the project side, he’s the design manager for our recent Wildcat Bridge Replacement win. This design build project is one of the first transportation projects in the Northwest—and it’s a great step in building the regional transportation practice.
Richard is an active member of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the Association of General Contractors (AGC), the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Design Build committee, the WSDOT/ACEC Structures subcommittee (retired), and the WSDOT/ACEC Executive Committee. If he isn’t at work, you might find Richard out fly fishing or trying to learn how to golf.
