Emily is an ocean engineer with previous experience working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Galveston District) in the Hydraulics and Hydrology Branch. There, she worked on a variety of coastal projects in Texas including widening and deepening a shipping channel, as well as restoring a barrier island in West Galveston Bay.
Serving as a coastal engineering specialist at Stantec, Emily recently developed a sediment management plan for an important Texas barrier island. This included evaluating viable sediment sources to be used for the restoration and long-term management of the Nature Preserve at Charlie’s Pasture, and a large section of Mustang Island.
When she isn’t working on coastal management projects, Emily enjoys being active out in nature, traveling to new places, and tending to her garden.
