With over 40 years of experience in engineering design and management, Tom’s career has included mechanical system design for educational and research facilities, industrial and manufacturing facilities, and energy systems throughout the Southeast US region. He’s also directed numerous projects involving energy generation and distribution, particularly in university campus environments.
Tom has served as either project manager or principal for numerous multidiscipline projects. His specialty? Renovation projects with complex phasing or sequencing requiring critical path scheduling. His project sizes and scopes have ranged from a $30-million conversion and expansion of a manufacturing facility to small building systems repair and modernization projects.
Tom received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University in 1974.
