Ross brings strong technical capability and attention to detail to his work as a structural engineer for industrial, water and wastewater infrastructure, civil infrastructure, and residential housing projects. He is well-versed in the design of structural steel access, building, and equipment support structures as well as reinforced concrete foundation, liquid retaining, and civil structures.
Recently, Ross worked on the planning, design development, procurement and technical delivery of a major building extension in a live brownfield site at BlueScope Steel’s Port Kembla works. He coordinated design consultants and multidisciplinary design interfaces before transitioning to client-side management of the installation contractor during the construction phase.
While pursuing his doctorate at the University of Wollongong, Ross contributed to the award-winning Desert Rose House for the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 competition. This project involved structural design and construction coordination of the house. It reinforced his passion for multidisciplinary projects that deliver solutions with positive social and health outcomes for the end-user.
In his spare time, Ross enjoys learning new skills, savoring a barbeque with family and friends, and watching Grand Designs and engineering documentaries.
