In reflection of her love of for diverse places and cultures, Virginie studies took her from Belgium to Scotland where she earned a master’s degree in international relations and conflict resolution. Her interest in EU values and practices was then driven further, leading to her first work experience being at the European Union Delegation to Myanmar in the political and press department.
As a junior project manager with our team in Belgium, Virginie now manages several EU-funded projects. This includes the multi-country communication Open Neighbourhood project which addresses the EU neighbourhood policy in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. For this project, Virginie works closely with our team of experts in Brussels and in Tunis to ensure the best possible deliverables for this challenging project.
Virginie has grown her expertise in project management to focus on European policies and climate change. She’s driven by a will to better understand diverse communities around the world in order to bring tailored solutions to each issue at hand, while respecting local cultures and contexts. In her free time, Virginie enjoys travelling, reading and scuba diving.
