Ethan Rankin
Transportation Planner
Ethan has a wide range of experience supporting multimodal projects across the country. He turns complex inputs into meaningful insights to help clients make informed decisions and build transportation systems that work for everyone. He has a passion for applying emerging mobility data tools to better understand how transportation functions today, all while keeping people at the center of his work.
Recently, Ethan helped the University of Michigan rethink campus mobility to meet rising demand and future growth through smarter, higher-capacity transit. He also contributed to evaluations of fare-free bus programs in Boston and developed a venue event access plan for Belmont Park in New York. In addition to these efforts, he’s supported citywide mobility plans, parking studies, and large-scale development projects.
Outside of his planning work, Ethan enjoys exploring cities by bike, finding the best new restaurants, and spending summer nights at the ballpark.
