Jim focuses on the planning and delivery of complex water infrastructure programs and projects. He currently serves in a program management leadership role supporting San Diego’s Pure Water Program, while continuing to advance strategies that develop new urban water supplies through water reuse and stormwater capture.
Drawing on his experience in strategic planning, program management, and project delivery, Jim helps turn innovative water resource strategies into implementable projects that deliver lasting benefits for communities and the environment. His innovative approach has contributed to projects receiving international recognition. He also gives back to the profession through leadership roles with the California Stormwater Quality Association, WaterReuse Association, and California’s Clean Beach Task Force. In addition, he mentors civil engineering students and serves on the engineering advisory board at his alma mater.
Having studied wilderness survival and windsurfing during college, Jim likes to think of himself as a well-rounded engineer. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three grown children as well as hiking, mountain biking, stand-up paddling, or playing pickleball.
