Alisa manages compliance processes for local agencies, developments, and transportation projects. She specializes in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Register of Historical Places (NRHP), and Section 106 compliance as well as permitting compliance as it pertains to Section 106, mitigation implementation procedures, Section 4(f), and project management. She also meets the Secretary of the Interior’s standards and guidelines for a professional archaeologist and qualifies as a historical archaeologist.
With more than 20 years of experience as an archaeological principal investigator (PI), Alisa has led complex archaeological projects including managing field crews, coordinating with construction managers, and building consensus with Native American tribes and individuals. She is well-versed in the theories and practice of geoarchaeology and soils analysis and has conducted testing for the presence shell midden as well as other site types.
When Alisa is away from the office or off-site, she enjoys cooking and spending time traveling in her campervan to remote areas with her husband, exploring western deserts and National Parks and Monuments.
