Ryan has over 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering and mining operations. He’s worked on projects involving shaft sinking, mine shaft and material handling infrastructure, construction hoisting plant rebuilds, commissioning, certification, upgrades, and maintenance. He is also knowledgeable in planning, budgeting, risk management, and health, safety, and environment (HSE) compliance.
During his career, Ryan has found the greatest satisfaction in bringing together people and ideas to deliver complex projects. One of these projects was the Jansen Final Liner Project, which involved constructing two hydrostatic, composite shaft liners, He oversaw the effort from early design and installation to commissioning and ongoing construction planning and support.
When he isn’t busy with mining related projects, Ryan enjoys spending quality time outdoors with family and has interests in timber framing, woodworking, and riding motorcycles and snowmobiles.
