An electrical technologist, Stephan has extensive field experience around electrical power systems within commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. His work experience ranges from start-up and commissioning of new electrical equipment, modifications, and rehabilitation of existing equipment, performing troubleshooting and repairs during unscheduled outages, to power systems studies of complex systems.
Stephan has a keen eye when gathering data on existing systems and can easily identify many types of equipment, including old and obsolete equipment that is present in many existing distribution systems. He’s performed power system studies including short circuit, device evaluation, coordination, and arc flash studies, which allows him a thorough knowledge of the type of information required to be gathered in the field. Stephan’s experience also includes the design and implementation of lock-out/tag-out procedures on systems of varying complexity to ensure the safety of work crews.
