Mikaela is an engineer-in-training with our Conveyance team. Specializing in underground trenchless design, she focuses on new installations and rehabilitations. Her work includes new installation trenchless methods such as horizontal directional drilling, auger boring, pipe ramming, microtunneling, and pipe jacking. Rehabilitation technologies include methods such as cured-in-place-pipe, sliplining, and spiral wound liners.
Before relocating to Canada, Mikaela spent five years in South America working on geotechnical engineering projects. Her experience with numerical modeling for slope stability and settlement analysis, foundation design, soil testing, and the evaluation of soil-structure interaction provides a strong geotechnical foundation for her work today. She enjoys collaborating with others and staying current with emerging industry developments that continue to advance trenchless engineering.
Away from work, Mikaela enjoys playing pickleball and basketball, spending time outdoors, and connecting with friends and family.
