As an archaeologist, Michael sees a project site as a story to be told—who occupied the site previously? what did they do there? With 20 years’ experience in both the field and office components of cultural resource management, Michael has led a variety of archaeological projects throughout the Atlantic Provinces and Ontario—including large projects in the energy, mining, transportation, and urban and property development sectors, as well as for Parks Canada.
He has a wide range of experience in both the public and private sectors, including conducting archaeological assessments as a consultant, field director, and project manager throughout Ireland. Always looking to expand his skillset, he also has training in advanced GIS technologies, which speeds and enhances his field work and data gathering capabilities. He is proud of the role his work can play in building understanding and relationships between communities and project stakeholders.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys hiking, camping, playing music, painting, and spending time with his family.
