Mehrdad has more than 25 years of experience in the Power industry. He has had more than 30 papers published in engineering journals and 40 papers presented at conferences. Mehrdad has an in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and has comprehensive experience and knowledge of high level power system study and analysis, power system reliability, energy storage systems and transient in power system.
He has conducted numerous EPC projects in different industrial fields and has worked on multi-million dollar international projects. Mehrdad has proved his ability to provide optimum solutions in conceptual design of networks and facilities which ended in huge cost savings while keeping required performance and the reliability of the project.
Mehrdad volunteered his time and acted as an R&D consultant and industrial advisor with academic centres, companies and individuals.
Mehrdad is an expert in study and analysis of impacts caused by renewables like Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar and wind farms, called Detailed Technical Connection Impact Assessments (DCIA) which is mostly done on the EMTP-RV software platform.
