A marine biologist and certified scientific scuba diver, Jessica supports our aquatic and marine teams as a lead surveyor and technical writer. She conducts habitat mapping, environmental compliance monitoring, and fish, invertebrate, and substrate characterization studies.
Away from the field, Jessica manages large datasets for protected species and species migration projects. She has a keen understanding of benthic, estuarine (tidal mouths of rivers), and pelagic (open water) fisheries, having previously served as a fisheries observer contracted with the National Marine Fisheries Service.
Jessica develops biological and essential fish habitat assessments, specifically in the New England area. This involves understanding the National Environmental Policy Act permitting process and impacts of development on sensitive habitats, protected species, and commercial and recreationally important fisheries. She also leads nationwide scientific diver training for our scientific dive team.
When she’s not working in the marine environment, Jessica enjoys being active outdoors with friends, hitting the slopes to ski, and exercising her creativity by throwing pottery or painting.
