Sergio is the lead of our high-performance engineering team for our Buildings practice. A licensed professional mechanical engineer, he’s an expert in sustainability and innovation in energy efficient building technologies. Throughout his more than 20 years in the industry, Sergio’s clients have routinely complimented him on his ability to communicate complicated engineering concepts to non-technical project partners. When he explains mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and energy efficiency solutions, people sit up, take notice, and understand.
With his knowledge of high-rise, commercial, retail, hospitality, residential, airport, and utility-scale markets, Sergio has led engineering teams on a host of sustainable developments, including a project in Indonesia that will become the largest and tallest net-zero energy building in the world.
Sergio loves architecture and nature—he’s equally in awe of the sunsets over Lake Michigan or views of the Chicago skyline. Off the clock, he’s a fan of football, politics, and food.
