As the managing leader of the Red Deer Water group, Joel is a professional engineer with a professional certification in asset management.
Joel has taken a large role in client and project management as well as coordination and technical design of various water and wastewater projects in Red Deer, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, and surrounding communities. He’s familiar with the requirements and management needed to successfully complete large and complex multi-discipline projects. Additionally, Joel has experience with industrial sewer remediation projects and is trained to access Suncor Energy plant sites. He strongly believes that by aligning the communities’ infrastructure needs with their long-term financial strategy, the result will aid in ensuring a sustainable future.
Outside of work, Joel values spending time with his wife and two daughters, traveling abroad, utilizing Red Deer’s trail system and recreation facilities, as well as attending and participating in a variety of sporting activities.
