Joel is a professional engineer and the practice leader for our British Columbia Water group—which is a great fit for him, as he’s passionate about building long-term partnerships and relationships with clients. Joel’s focus on project management and quality allow him to successfully complete large and complex projects effectively.
Since joining Stantec in 2008, Joel has designed and managed numerous water and wastewater projects in several communities across Western Canada. He’s completed master plan studies, urban utility rehabilitation projects, large diameter trunk upgrades, water and wastewater pump/lift stations, trenchless river crossings, and long regional pipelines. He’s completed a professional certificate in asset management through the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) as well as the Envision sustainability professional (ENV SP) training and designation.
Outside of work, Joel values spending time with his wife and two daughters, travelling abroad, getting outdoors, and numerous sporting activities.
