Rohit does some of his best work in the most challenging environments. He focuses on modernizing science research buildings while they remain occupied, navigating complex utilities and phasing construction around active research. He thrives in these conditions because they demand creativity, precision, and a deep respect for the people who rely on these spaces every day.
As a vice president in our Science and Technology group, Rohit stays closely involved from the first conversation through occupancy and beyond. For decades, one question has shaped his approach: How do we design research buildings that can support discoveries not yet imagined? After almost 45 years working across the life and physical sciences, he is closer to defining what true flexibility looks like and how to design systems that will serve researchers well into the future.
When he’s not working, Rohit is usually enjoying a quiet moment with coffee, a sketchbook, and a fountain pen—returning to the roots of architecture through hand drawings.
