As a senior industrial engineer with our industrial studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Alan applies Industrial Engineering, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to help organizations reduce waste and promote the efficient use of resources. Working out of Edmonton, he has over fifteen years of experience spanning the manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and warehousing and distribution sectors.
Alan provides functional and operational-related planning expertise at the front-end of industrial buildings projects through feasibility studies, functional programming, site selection, master planning, and conceptual design. During the detailed design and construction documentation phases, he works within inter-disciplinary design teams to ensure that the functional needs of the client are translated into an operationally efficient and cost-effective site and facility design.
Alan’s projects have included warehouses, distribution centres, transit and light rail operations and maintenance facilities, manufacturing plants, as well as some work in the health sector.
In his spare time, Alan’s passions include trail running, cycling, travelling, and enjoying nature in general.
