Alireza applies a doctorate in construction management and a background in architecture, construction, and human-building interaction (HBI) to his research that asks how we build indoor environments that help people feel, recover, and thrive. He’s studied biophilic green walls and sensory interventions in real and virtual environments, using physiological and psychological measures and eye tracking to understand how people respond to space.
Turning this evidence into practical design tools, Alireza’s current work combines biophilic design with computer vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. These tools detect design features, assess an indoor space’s restoration potential, and support healthier design decisions. He believes technology is valuable when it helps create spaces that work better for people.
When he isn’t busy creating design tools, Alireza enjoys running, watching movies and TV, and spending time with his wife and their little dog.
