Randy is a senior associate in our environmental remediation group who believes a key to success in consulting is being able to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical people. He has years of experience as an environmental engineer specializing in site assessment and remediation, hazard analysis and due diligence reviews, regulatory compliance, management systems, auditing and verifications, and sustainability.
Early in his consulting career, Randy won a project to complete 160 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments across Canada in six weeks. The project management and project execution systems for this work had never been done before, so Randy had to develop and successfully implement new systems—and he delivered. All 160 project reports were completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
These systems laid the groundwork for completing many additional and similar projects for many other clients. Since then, Randy has consulted for many different public and private sector organizations, and he’s learned so much about their many different activities. For the last 10 years, Randy has shared his passion for environmental science and engineering by mentoring students at the University of Toronto.
