Davin Slade
Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Geotechnical Engineering Practice Leader
With over 20 years of experience in the geotechnical engineering field, Davin leads our Victorian geotechnical team. His expertise includes pavement design and rehabilitation assessment, geotechnical modeling, retaining wall design and slope stability assessments for residential and commercial developments, as well as dams, wetlands, and pipelines.
As a geotechnical specialist on major projects, Davin is often one of the first parties involved at the start. He develops a detailed and efficient design that underpins a framework right through to construction. Working on many landmark multidisciplinary projects in Australia and overseas, his more recent projects include Highlands Estate, the largest subdivision in Victoria, North East Link Early Works and North East Link Public Private Partnership plus the Nauru Port pavement.
In his spare time, Davin enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, gardening, and traveling, though it is very hard to do all four successfully at the same time. When he was younger, he was state judo champion and an international judo referee which led to being a technical volunteer at the Sydney Olympics.
