Peru’s mountainous terrain offers opportunities for the country, companies, and workers in the form of valuable mining resources. Salvador is proud to offer his professional engineering skills to support the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of Peru’s Antamina mine, one of the top ten largest mines in the world. A project manager in our Tailings and Waste group, Salvador works closely with his technical team, applying his experience from mining projects in many countries to develop solutions tailored to his client’s needs.
For Salvador, communication is the key to leadership. He believes better results come with motivated people and that motivation grows from open communication. He loves his work for the role he can play helping improve people’s lives in their communities, supporting his country, and helping others to achieve their dreams. This is a responsibility that drives him to strive for excellence, build effective relationships, and create innovative solutions.
Outside of work, he contributes to his profession by teaching university courses in geotechnics. He also enjoys being close to nature, traveling and learning about new cultures, running, hiking, and spending time with his wife and his family.
